Currant harvester – 1 or 2 shaking heads?

From the very beginning, Weremczuk harvesters have been equipped with 1 shaking head with the possibility of adjusting the shaking amplitude. This ensures the possibility of harvesting not only currants, but also other fruits, such as chokeberry (aronia), gooseberry, raspberry (grown without supports) and haskap (honeyberry). One head is safer for the bushes, because it means no additional damage caused by double shaking of one bush. This means the plantation stays in good condition for many years. The use of one head and one shaker also means cheaper use of the machine. In the case of replacing consumable parts, such as shaking fingers, the cost is reduced by a half compared to using two shaking heads with more parts.

In the case of the second solution, the harvester can be equipped with rollers for 2 big boxes on the work platform, enabling their convenient unloading. This is particularly important in the case of long rows on the plantation, as it reduces the time needed to replace full containers with empty ones, and consequently increases efficiency.

The convenience of work is also increased by turnable wheels, which allow for easier maneuvering of the harvester. The use of such a solution means that the headlands on the plantation can be shorter, and consequently – more bushes can be planted in each row. This can have a significant impact on the tonnage of the harvested crop during the season.
