Felix-Z Used for Olive Harvesting for the First Time

In November 2025, in Spain’s Castilla y León region, the Felix-Z olive harvester was used for olive harvesting for the first time. From the start, the machine demonstrated high efficiency in real field conditions. As a result, it quickly confirmed its suitability for olive production.

The First Harvest — and Certainly Not the Last

For nearly 20 years, the Felix-Z harvester has been successfully used for harvesting cherries and plums. Moreover, in recent years it has also performed reliably in industrial apple orchards. At the end of 2025, however, the machine was deployed for large-scale olive harvesting for the first time.

The harvest took place on a large plantation managed with a strong focus on fruit quality. The final goal was premium-class olive oil. Importantly, after just a few hours of operation, it was clear that the Felix-Z olive harvester handled this new task with ease.

Olive Grove and Working Conditions

The olive grove we visited consisted of 16-year-old Arbequina trees. During the harvest, the Felix-Z olive harvester worked efficiently on both smaller and larger trees. At the same time, it consistently delivered:

• precise and controlled fruit collection,

• impressive productivity while preserving olive quality.

The climatic conditions of the Castilla y León region strongly support high-quality olive oil production. Therefore, choosing an olive harvester that combines speed with gentle fruit handling was essential.
